Overview Specialist CT Technologist – Hospital CT A – Banner Health’s Banner Gateway Medical Center, 1900 N Higley Rd., Gilbert, AZ 85234. Day shift: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 7:00a.m. to 5:30p.m.; on‑call as needed. Possible floating to MD Anderson Cancer Center. Requires Arizona CTCT license and at least 3years CT experience in a hospital setting. Position Summary This role plans for adequate resource management in relation to equipment, instrumentation and supplies for the CT modality. Supervises staff, serves as a clinical resource to staff, providers’ offices, vendors and other departments, coordinates specialty care within Imaging, and performs prescribed procedures following department policies. The position ensures optimal care for the patient population. Core Functions Interview, select, hire and manage qualified department staff, and conduct performance management sessions. Plan patient care for the CT modality by managing the daily schedule and ensuring adequate staffing. Serve as a specialty resource to patients, families, providers and internal departments, interpreting policies and facilitating medical care. Support change and participate in the development, interpretation, implementation and evaluation of goals/objectives and quality management activities. Prioritize and plan specialty resources, working with department management to meet financial goals. Perform all functions of a Technologist, performing procedures by following and verifying orders. Be accountable for ethical, legal and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice, including maintaining confidentiality. Ensure efficient operation of departmental workflow, monitor inventory, and maintain an adequate supply of materials. Provide input regarding department budget and operations, and participate in committees as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program. National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by Arizona state regulatory agency. Advance certification in specialty (if applicable). BLS certification. 3–5years of clinical experience with patients in the relevant population. Effective communication, human relations, data analysis and problem‑solving skills.
