About the Role:

Southwest Veterinary Dermatology in Houston, TX is looking for a friendly and organized Veterinary Clinic Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our specialty practice. Responsibilities:

Greet clients and their pets warmly, ensuring a positive front desk experience

Schedule and confirm appointments for veterinary dermatology consultations and follow-ups

Answer multi-line phone calls, respond to inquiries, and relay messages to clinical staff

Manage patient check-in and check-out processes accurately and efficiently

Process payments, invoices, and pet insurance claims

Maintain and update electronic medical records and client information

Coordinate referrals and communicate with primary care veterinary offices

Support the clinical team with administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

Prior experience in a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or specialty practice preferred

Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy, specialty clinic environment

Compassionate and calm demeanor when handling stressed pets and anxious pet owners

Basic understanding of veterinary terminology is a plus

High school diploma or equivalent required
