Senior Commercial Compliance Analyst - Middle Office

Position Overview Senior Commercial Compliance Analyst – An opportunity open in Findlay, Houston, or San Antonio, supporting the Middle Office’s independent oversight of Commercial Trading. Works closely with Commercial Management, Law, Enterprise Risk, Internal Audit, and across the Middle Office teams to build Commercial Compliance oversight aligned to commercial growth aspirations. Key Responsibilities Conduct trade surveillance analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks. Maintain updates to desk procedures. Research and support the implementation of new policies and procedures resulting from internal review or regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with the company’s policies and procedures. Perform daily trade surveillance and monitoring activities to ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Assist with planning of compliance training for the front and back office. Manage exchange, clearing, and brokerage accounts for derivatives. Provide guidance to the front office regarding policy and regulatory implications. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. Five (5) years of risk assessment experience in energy trading, banking, or capital markets. Power BI and interpretation of large data sets preferred. Holistic understanding of commodity transaction flows and functional requirements preferred.
