MillwrightMcClung Management Legal Address (K1) - Kilgore, TX 75662Position Overview:Repairs, maintains, and facilitates installation of industrial machines used in manufacturing and production operations.Responsibilities/Job Duties:Ensures proper operation of natural gas compressorsUses hand tools, hoists, jacks, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobs, and power tools to assemble, install, align, and adjust machinesEnsures machines perform to specifications by conducting tests; fine tunes machinesGathers and assembles parts for repairs or modifications based on blueprintsTroubleshoots and repairs machines including when unexpected issues ariseSupport a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possibleAdhere to company policy, procedures, and rulesAdhere to safety requirements by wearing appropriate protective gearMaintain a positive, team-oriented attitudeFlexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirementsNeed minimal instructions of pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobPerform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisorQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentThorough and broad understanding of a variety of equipmentExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to read and interpret technical documents and drawingsAbility to read and use a tape measure in US units (not metric)Ability to read and use a levelAbility to use hand tools and power toolsAbility to work in a fast-paced shop environmentWelding knowledge such as GMAW/MIG hard-wireStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsThorough understanding of safety practices, guidelines, rules, and lawsVocational school or Associates degree in related field highly preferredAt least two years of experience requiredPrefer four years of successful apprenticeship trainingCompetency test: Interpret a GA drawing and explain how to install frame, coupling, and engine.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods standing, stretching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling requiredAbility to lift up to 50 poundsVisual acuity to properly inspect and modify large and detailed portions of machineryManual dexterity to assemble, disassemble, adjust, and relocate machinesWorking Conditions:Subject to outdoor and plant environment with adjusting temperatures and climateUpon Employment:Complete a Safety overview from the EHS & Facilities ManagerComplete a Quality overview from the Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Manager
