Stainless TIG Welding & Fabrication Craftsperson — Canby, OR
Imagine taking a print covered in weld symbols and transforming it into a flawless stainless assembly—fit perfect, finish seamless, and every dimension spot‑on. That’s the impact you’ll make here.
Your impact- Use TIG (GTAW) to build and repair stainless components in thin gauges (.049–.065) with repeatable precision.
- Prep, grind, and finish parts to exacting cosmetic and structural criteria.
- Own your setup: machines, fixtures, and workstation optimized for throughput and quality.
- Translate drawings, specifications, and symbols into an actionable welding plan.
- Validate fit and alignment using a tape measure and other precision tools.
- Keep equipment tuned with routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Verify weld integrity through visual checks and measurements.
- Collaborate with a tight‑knit team to meet production milestones safely.
- Maintain a clean, orderly work area that reflects pride in craft.
- Demonstrated TIG proficiency—stainless experience strongly preferred; 2+ years is a great benchmark.
- Competence in soldering, fitting, and familiarity with wirefeed processes.
- Confident reading blueprints and interpreting weld symbols.
- Sharp math and measurement capability, including accurate tape‑measure use.
- Background in sheet metal manufacturing is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to workmanship.
- Clear communication, reliability, and a team‑first approach.
- Curiosity to learn new processes and embrace new technology.
- Ability to pass a TIG weld test.
