Apply today and learn if you're eligible for a $1500 sign on bonus!About This Role: We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:Read and interpret basic drawings and weld symbolsPassing Textron's aluminum MIG (GMAW) weld test procedurePerform as a productive working team member that meets daily goals set by the supervisor.MIG welding of aluminum materials in all positions. Must be able to work from standing, sitting, lying and kneeling positions. Some work must be accomplished with the use of mirror welding.Use of power tools (gougers, circular saws, grinders) in a safe, compliant manorOperate cranes and forkliftsAssist supervisor to maintain control of department equipment and its maintenance. May instruct and mentor less-skilled welders, as assignedWorks with a sense of urgency, efficiency and productive outputMaintains safe work practices and adheres to safety policies and proceduresEnsure correct construction procedures are adhered toAbility to work shifts or overtime as required, must be flexibleMaintain general housekeeping, keep materials and equipment stowed in an orderly mannerMonitors working environment for compliance with quality, safety, environmental and health regulations and report deficiencies to supervisorQualifications: 1-3 years of related welding experience. Ability to pass Textron's aluminum MIG (GMAW) and/or TIG (GTAW) weld test procedure. Ability to successfully complete onboarding procedures in preparation to pass aluminum weld qualification test requirements to meet contract requirements for welding on the product. Note: Level will be determined based on weld test results. Education Requirements: Must have high school diploma, GED or equivalent certificate, or bronze level (or higher) for ACT WorkKeys Certification.Physical Demand Requirements: Physical demands described have been validated by on-site job analysis.
