Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:30 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience License: Any state RN license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Electrophysiology (EP) experience preferred Experience with EPIC and MacLab is desired Description: The Cath Lab Registered Nurse performs advanced practice cardiac catheterization and peripheral angiography. The role includes conducting electrophysiologic studies and therapeutic interventional procedures. Cardiac device implantation procedures are also part of the responsibilities. Providing peri-procedural care and education for patients is essential. The nurse assists cardiologists and other specialists during diagnostic and interventional procedures. Maintaining accurate records and documentation for procedures is required. Expect a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with approximately 20 patients seen per day across multiple labs. The facility conducts structural heart procedures, including device implantations such as Watchman's, TAVR, and Mitraclip procedures. This is a level 3 Cath lab. Critical skills include interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and monitoring procedural sedation. The nurse will also be involved in percutaneous coronary interventions and will manage activated clotting time (ACT) during procedures. Call requirements include one mandatory call shift per week and every fourth weekend.
