Registered Nurse - Days

Registered Nurse Sabal Palms Recovery Center is hiring Registered Nurses at our Brooksville, Florida facility. Schedules: Full Time Days Pay Rate: $32.50 to $37 per hour (dependent on years of experience) The center provides addiction treatment services for adults 18+ and offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, prescription drug plan, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, vision, dental, and voluntary short‑term and long‑term disability coverage. Responsibilities Assess patients’ physical and behavioral health needs and coordinate care. Develop and implement nursing care plans. Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about health conditions. Provide nursing care within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined by state regulations, facility policies, and protocols. Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed appropriately. Continuously assess patients’ status and document pertinent information. Notify physicians of significant changes in status such as detox difficulties, medical emergencies, medication responses, and related challenges. Ensure initial nursing treatment plans are completed upon admission and tailored to assessed needs. Apply universal precautions while providing direct patient care. Accurately administer medications per ordered notes and document controlled substance administration. Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently. Maintain therapeutic rapport with patients by respecting boundaries and providing direct attention. Coordinate unit activities as directed. Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, co‑workers, and others involved in inpatient treatment. Qualifications Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Current Registered Nurse license for the state of employment (or eligibility to practice). Minimum one year of nursing experience; prior psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance abuse nursing experience is a plus. CPR and de‑escalation and restraint certification required (training provided). First aid certification may be required based on state or facility needs.
