Join us and help run what runs the world.This position reports to:Production Supervisor__Your ResponsibilitiesAssemble and build medium and high voltage electrical vacuum switches utilizing standardized tools and equipmentInterpret production drawings and work instructions, which include wire schematics, outlines, BOMs and wire diagramsUtilize internal systems to access drawings and filesRelay any discrepancies/non-conformance related issues to the responsible individualComplete all documentation and follow specific work instructions as requiredMust be able to work in a team environment while interfacing with team members that include product/manufacturing engineering and other internal/external customersAssist in training other team members as neededMaintain and sustain 5S processes and safety practices, including the use of PPE as requiredAll other duties, as assignedYour BackgroundHigh school diploma or GEDAt least 1 year manufacturing experienceBasic mechanical, electrical, and hand‑tool knowledgeBasic computer skillsPositive, energetic attitude; flexible with cross‑training and overtimeWillingness to learn new processesAble to lift 40+ lbsAble to stand or walk for 8 hoursAble to reach, lift, and pullWhile hourly pay rate is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay starting at $19-$21. 1st shift hours are 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday - FridayGo to myBenefitsABB.com and click on “Candidate/Guest” to learn moreHealth, Life & DisabilityChoice between two medical plan options: A PPO plan called the Copay Plan OR a High Deductible Health Plan (with a Health Savings Account) called the High Deductible Plan.Choice between two dental plan options: Core and Core PlusVision benefitCompany paid life insurance (2X base pay)Company paid AD&D (1X base pay)Voluntary life and AD&D – 100% employee paid up to maximumsShort Term Disability – up to 26 weeks – Company paidLong Term Disability – 60% of pay – Company paid.
