Pay: $20.90
Day shift
Position Summary
The Receiving Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, glass components to ensure they meet company quality standards and specifications before being accepted into inventory or production. Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials and components for quality, quantity, and compliance with specifications, drawings, and purchase orders
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections by measuring using (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Verify certifications, documentation, and material test reports (MTRs) as required
- Record inspection results
- Coordinate with teams regarding discrepancies
- Segregate and label rejected or non-conforming materials
- Ensure proper handling and storage of inspected materials
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration compliance
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Experience using measuring tools
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of inspection tools and techniques
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Manufacturing/warehouse environment
- Standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed
- Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
- Experience with ERP systems
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Previous experience in incoming inspection or supplier quality
