Job Description Join our team as an Elementary Tennis Coach, providing fun and engaging tennis classes for Grades K-3 in elementary schools across the Bay Area. We are currently seeking coaches and assistant coaches who are passionate about working with children, regardless of previous tennis teaching/playing experience. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic program that promotes physical activity and skill development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead groups of ages 5 – 10 in after-school tennis programs. Assist the lead coach in teaching and overall program management. Training and Preparation: Attend a two-day training/shadowing session to familiarize yourself with the program. Transport tennis equipment to and from class. Set up the tennis equipment. Administrative Tasks: Take attendance and sign in and sign out students for each class. Requirements: Must be 19+ years old upon application. Previous teaching or playing experience in tennis is preferred but not required. USPTA/PTR certification is preferred but not required. Enjoy working with kids and can manage a class in a professional manner. Flexible, reliable, punctual, professional, and has an enthusiastic approach. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Resilient, positive attitude. Ability to work independently and within a small team. Have reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula. Willingness to undergo a live scan background check prior to working. Must complete sending photo and short biography to upload in our website and introduce your experience in sports. Schedule: Classes are 1 - 1.5 hours in length. Start times for classes can vary between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., depending on the school. Flexible schedule, working two or more days per week from Monday through Friday. A maximum of 2-5 hours per week.
