Job Description

This role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and organized outdoor work environment while supporting yard and warehouse operations. You will work primarily outdoors in an open-air setting, perform physically demanding tasks, and contribute to overall yard upkeep and material handling throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized outdoor yard and surrounding work areas.
• Pick up and properly dispose of trash and debris throughout the yard.
• Move pallets, materials, and equipment as needed to support daily operations.
• Perform general housekeeping and yard cleanup duties on a regular basis.
• Sweep, organize, and maintain work areas to help ensure a safe work environment.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and staging materials for warehouse and yard activities.
• Support warehouse and yard personnel with miscellaneous general labor tasks as assigned.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while operating in an open-air outdoor environment.
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete production and yard maintenance tasks efficiently.

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the entire shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions in an open-air environment.
• Strong work ethic and a consistent commitment to completing assigned tasks.
• Reliability and punctuality in adhering to scheduled shift times.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and follow instructions from yard and warehouse personnel.
• Basic ability to handle general labor, loading, and production-related tasks safely.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous general labor experience is preferred but not required.
• Background in warehouse, construction, landscaping, or other outdoor work is a plus.
• Experience with material handling, pallet movement, or yard maintenance is beneficial.
• Ability to work occasional Saturdays depending on production needs.
• Comfort working as part of a team in a busy yard and warehouse environment.

Work Environment

This role is based in an open-air outdoor environment, where you will work primarily outside in varying weather conditions. The position follows a first-shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with possible Saturday work depending on production demands. The work involves frequent lifting, moving pallets and materials, and performing general labor tasks in a yard and warehouse setting, requiring practical, comfortable attire suitable for physical outdoor work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palatka, FL.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
