Hospitality Accounting Specialist (on-site)
A private club located in the greater Boston area is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support daily financial operations. This role focuses on high-volume transactional work across AP, AR, billing, POS activity, and event-related accounting.
Compensation: $95,000-110,000 annuallyKey Responsibilities
- Process AP invoices, expense reports, and weekly check runs
- Manage billing, client accounts, and payment processing (cash, check, ACH, wire)
- Track and record sales, POS activity, and event-related transactions
- Maintain and audit POS systems and item codes
- Post GL entries, transfers, and adjustments
- Support month-end/year-end close and reporting
- Respond to billing inquiries and assist with ad hoc projects
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- 35 years of accounting experience in a service or multi-revenue environment
- Experience with systems like Jonas, or Club Essentials
- Must be willing to be onsite 5 days/week
- Strong understanding of day-to-day accounting operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting systems
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
