Behavioral Health Crisis Clinician (RCL 

Location: Seattle, WA - In-Person 

Shift - Full-Time Graveyard (nights)

Pay: $37.24/hour + $4/hour graveyard differential 

Union-represented (OPEIU)

At Crisis Connections , crisis clinicians don’t read scripts or carry caseloads. They provide real-time clinical decision-making, guide life-saving interventions, and serve as trusted clinical leaders supporting the front-line staff who answer the call.

As a Crisis Services Clinician , you’ll combine direct crisis assessment with clinical leadership—supporting callers in their most critical moments while mentoring and consulting with crisis phone staff and volunteers. This is high-acuity work done collaboratively, with structure, backup, and mission-driven purpose.

What You’ll Do

• Provide clinical assessment, suicide risk evaluation, and crisis intervention via telephone
• Serve as the clinical lead on shift , offering real-time consultation, coaching, and support to crisis phone staff and volunteers
• Coordinate crisis response, including hospital diversion, triage, and one-call coordination with first responders
• Authorize inpatient services using clinical judgment and least-restrictive care principles
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to high clinical and ethical standards
• Collaborate with community partners, hospitals, mobile crisis teams, and public mental health agencies

Requirements:

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree in a social science or related field
• Eligible for or pursuing Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) licensure or higher (Licensure costs reimbursed; support provided)
• At least 2 years of supervised clinical experience working with individuals experiencing serious mental illness
• Strong clinical judgment, calm decision-making, and comfort in high-pressure situations
• Prior leadership, supervision, or consultation experience strongly preferred
