School Psychologist - Elementary School

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Psychologist to support students at an elementary school in Clayton, Georgia, for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping young students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally while collaborating closely with families, teachers, administrators, and other school-based professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and reevaluations.

• Administer, score, and interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments.

• Prepare clear, thorough evaluation reports and communicate findings to families and school teams.

• Participate in eligibility, Individualized Education Program (IEP), Section 504, and student support meetings.

• Assist with identifying students who may need special education services or additional interventions.

• Provide consultation and support to teachers, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary team members.

• Help develop appropriate academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions.

• Support crisis prevention and intervention efforts when needed.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.

• Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications

• Master's, specialist, or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current or eligible Georgia certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.

• Experience conducting evaluations and working with elementary-aged students is preferred.

• Knowledge of special education regulations, evaluation procedures, IEP development, and Section 504 requirements.

• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and providing culturally responsive services.
