Data Engineer

Bridging data engineering with Knowledge Management expertise, the full-time Data Engineer will design data models for unstructured content, establish metadata standards, and ensure data products are secure and discoverable while working remotely. Key responsibilities Design logical and physical data models for unstructured and semi-structured content from Knowledge Management pipelines Establish metadata standards and tagging taxonomies to ensure consistent classification across knowledge sources Collaborate with stakeholders to align data product design with downstream consumption needs and support privacy and legal review processes Required qualifications 5+ years of experience in data modeling, data architecture, or information architecture with exposure to unstructured or semi-structured data Direct experience in Knowledge Management, content management, or enterprise search domains Hands-on experience with modern data catalogs, preferably Databricks Unity Catalog Practical knowledge of metadata management, including tagging schemas and taxonomies Understanding of data security and sensitivity classification frameworks in a lakehouse environment
