While managing your responsibilities to the project, you will be able to enroll in trainings through our award-winning Gilbane University to build leadership and technical skills.ResponsibilitiesManages all stages of commissioning process, from initial planning and design reviews to final testing and handoverCreates commissioning plans, schedules, test procedures (like IET and IPVT/IST), and verification checklistsEnsures the facility and its systems comply with design specifications, health and safety standards, and performance requirementsActs as the main point of contact and manages communication between various teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractorsPrepares and manages all necessary documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and final certification documentsPerforms and oversees various tests, such as functional testing and site acceptance testing, to verify system performanceTrains direct reports on processes, procedures, and completion of daily tasksManages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with overall company standardsFosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team membersAids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reportsQualificationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in engineering or related field10-12 years of data center commissioning experienceOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESIn-depth knowledge of data center systems, including power distribution, cooling, HVAC, and IT equipmentAbility to manage schedules, budgets, change orders, and multidisciplinary teamsExcellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levelsAbility to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectivelyThis position can be performed remotely or from any U.S. location where Gilbane has an office. Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. The pay range is $98,880.00 - $211,970.00 plus benefits and retirement program plus benefits and retirement program.Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
