Production Maintenance Electrician IV

Amentum is seeking a Production Maintenance Electrician IV for our facility operations & maintenance team in Waukesha, WI. The role involves subject‑matter expertise in maintaining, troubleshooting, programming (CNC and PLC), and servicing all aspects of facility and production equipment. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair facility and production systems and equipment. Program, modify and interface with MMI (HMI) devices and SCADA systems, including historian data. Leverage proficiency in electronic data communication methods such as Profibus, Profinet, SCADA, Ethernet, wireless and remote I/O platforms. Create and troubleshoot ladder logic. Interface with onsite machine‑tool SCADA and develop relevant HMIs. Implement automated control schemes to optimize equipment performance. Calibrate and maintain instrumentation, equipment, and controls. Respond to emergencies and stabilize the facility. Monitor the facility, perform plant alignment and switching for critical environment workflows. Manage process documentation, procedures, and coordination for critical environment activities. Assist in procurement of spare parts and identify cost savings. Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled in the CMMS. Provide service, feedback, and compliance reporting on all work orders. Analyze and resolve work problems, and assist workers in problem solving. Adhere to safety regulations, JHA, lock‑out/tag‑out, and PPE requirements. Operate measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments for energy‑efficiency solutions. Use hand tools, laptops, and diagnostic hardware to perform work. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED. 3years of experience performing electrical and mechanical machine‑tool service and repair in a heavy industrial environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver’s license. Ability to obtain a security access badge. Must pass a pre‑employment substance‑abuse test. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Electrical, or related field. Experience troubleshooting BAS/BMS systems and controls (Schneider Electric BAS, Honeywell, Siemens). Experience creating HMIs surrounding historian data. Knowledge of building‑system sequences of operations. Experience diagnosing and repairing process mechanical systems such as HVAC, utilities, and fire protection. Experience with water systems used in critical‑environment applications. Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems. Experience using test equipment (megger, voltmeter, multimeter, etc.). Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends. Physical Requirements Regularly lift up to 50lb and climb ladders, stepladders, or stairs 10 times per shift. Perform bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and repetitive wrist movement. Operate an Ariel Lift and use utility knives. Read and understand documents presented on a computer screen. Operate a computer and office equipment. Communicate professionally with clients and colleagues. Other Attributes Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends. Must wear steel‑toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and appropriate PPE. Ability to cope with job stresses while maintaining performance.
