Fund Coordinator

The University of Alaska Foundation’s Advancement Operations team supports the systems and processes that help ensure charitable gifts to the University of Alaska are accepted, managed, and used as donors intend. The team includes gift and fund management and scholarship administration. Our work combines detailed financial and administrative processes with meaningful service to donors, development professionals, and university partners. The team manages a wide range of fund activities, including establishing new funds, coordinating fund revisions and redirections, supporting Foundation Fund Expense Account administration and related expenditure processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring documentation is complete and compliant with Foundation policies.

The Fund Coordinator is an opportunity to join a collaborative team in a role that combines organization, problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail. This position plays an important part in keeping fund management processes moving efficiently and accurately, while working with colleagues across the Foundation and University. The position offers the opportunity to develop specialized knowledge in fund administration, work with a variety of systems and processes, and build skills that can support career growth within Advancement Operations. Employees who enjoy learning complex processes, coordinating multiple priorities, and seeing projects through from initial request to completion will find this position particularly rewarding.

Successful candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workflows, deadlines, and documentation requirements. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are important, as the position works with colleagues across the UA Foundation and University of Alaska to gather information, coordinate approvals, and resolve routine issues. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with databases and financial or administrative records, able to interpret and apply established policies and procedures, and committed to accuracy, confidentiality, and responsive customer service. Experience in fund administration, gift processing, financial administration, records management, or a similar administrative environment will be especially valuable.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree and two years of progressively responsible experience related to fund administration, gift processing, development operations, financial administration, records management, business administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and  full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the  UA Staff Salary Schedule , Grade 78, based on education and experience.
