Maintenance Worker

EST Tool and Machine is currently looking to hire an enthusiastic and devoted individual who has experience with a wide variety of tooling, as well as experience within different types of work industries. This position will involve inspecting different equipment and performing any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required (i.e., machines, forklifts, vehicles, building, landscape, etc.). To do well in this role you should have experience in maintenance, electricity, construction, mechanics, etc., where you have previous experience with various hand and power tools and are capable of reading blueprints and repair manuals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance
• Handling basic repairs and maintenance to machines, forklifts, vehicles, and other equipment
• Performing electrical tasks, such as: running conduit, new plugs, labeling breakers, etc.
• Performing janitorial tasks such as: sweeping, mopping, running a floor scrubber, taking out trash, hauling scrap, etc. as needed
• Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment, ensuring equipment is functioning correctly and safely
• Performing tasks such as: changing light bulbs, running CAT 6, painting/cleaning beams, using Genie Boom Lift, Scissor Lifts, etc.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Related degree from a technical college
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
• Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
• Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
• Strong organizational and follow up skills
• Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
• Eye for detail
• Professional presentation and attitude
• Ability to maintain focus when working in a team or individually
• Desire to learn new things
• Hard work ethic
