Contract | 12-Hour Shifts (Mid Shift) | Onsite | Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) required | Holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 14-bed Emergency Department with 2 trauma bays, a Fast Track area, and dedicated triage rooms
• Assess, triage, and manage a diverse patient population including traumas, MVAs, strokes, and STEMIs, with an average daily census of 40–60 patients
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3–4, with adjusted staffing during overnight hours; rotate variable shift start times as scheduled
• Collaborate with ED physicians (in-house 24/7), mid-level providers, respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, and ancillary support staff
• Participate in psych patient management, patient holds, and overflow to attached ACU rooms as needed
• Float to inpatient areas to assist as needed; all staff required to clock in and out at the facility

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission date
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with trauma, STEMI, and stroke patient populations
• Familiarity with variable drip management in an emergency setting
• Comfort with triage responsibilities following facility policy review
