Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Float Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Nursing License required; pending license accepted Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Ability to float to other medical surgical units as needed - Weekend coverage required every other weekend - Experience with patient ratios of 1:6 Description: This position is for a registered nurse in the medical surgical unit. The nurse will float to other medical surgical units as necessary. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. A minimum of two years of experience in a similar role is required. Nurses will work with a patient ratio of 1:6. BLS certification is required for this position. Candidates must have a valid nursing license or be in the process of obtaining one. This role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients. The daily census in the unit averages around 22 patients. Candidates will need experience with various nursing skills and practices in the medical surgical specialty. Nurses will be involved in interdisciplinary support and collaboration. This position requires knowledge of charting systems, specifically Epic. Candidates must submit all requests for time off with their application.
