Home Health Speech Therapist Location: Knoxville, TN – Full‑time Position Overview The Speech Therapist is responsible for assessment and evaluation of patient care needs related to treating speech and language disorders and functional training in communication, swallowing, and cognitive impairments. Responsibilities Provide services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing speech therapy. Coordinate with other health care team members and follow the plan of care. Apply diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests to evaluate patients’ level of function. Assist the physician in developing the therapy plan of care. Deliver treatment to help patients communicate effectively. Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and other team members in speech‑therapy techniques. Qualifications Current speech therapy license in the state where services are performed. Current CPR certification, valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle or public transportation.
