We are seeking a hands-on Controller to join our clients growing company. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations while providing accurate financial reporting and supporting the company's continued growth. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where they will actively participate in the accounting function rather than solely overseeing it. Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a hands-on Controller to join our clients growing company. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations while providing accurate financial reporting and supporting the company's continued growth. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where they will actively participate in the accounting function rather than solely overseeing it. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Manage accounts payable and ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments.
- Produce monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and analysis that support business decisions.
- Assist with audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners.
- Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls to support company growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Strong experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, accounts payable, and financial reporting.
- Experience with job costing and rate-of-pay management is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to work hands-on and manage detailed accounting responsibilities.
