Job Title

Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location

Thornton, CO | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide progressive care nursing on a 24-bed PCU unit with a 5:1 patient ratio
• Perform post-operative recovery monitoring for surgical and cath lab patients, including ortho (spine, joint) and GYN surgery patients
• Monitor and manage patients via telemetry and post-op monitoring equipment
• Care for a diverse patient population including stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure patients
• Administer and manage set-rate cardiac drips (non-titrating, except heparin)
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech / CPN EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac nursing experience
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong teamwork orientation
• Ability to multi-task in a high-acuity environment with frequent patient turnover
