Technician - Monitor I

Job Responsibilities Require critical thinking skills, effective communications skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the heart in relation to waves, complexes, time and voltage as shown through the conduction system and strip interpretation. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action while monitoring and interpreting patients' cardiac rhythms. Requires sitting for long periods of time while monitoring and interpreting patients' cardiac rhythms. Knowledge of telemetry services. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedules. Required Experience Minimum six months of experience after completion of the Monitor Technician Extern program. Minimum six months experience in lieu of Vocation Technical (VOCTECH) for applicants not graduate of Monitor Technician Extern program. New hires with no prior work experience will be placed in the Monitor Technician - Extern role. Qualifications Monitor Technician certification required. Electrocardiogram Competency (ECG/EKG) required. Successful completion of ECG/EKG interpretation coursework required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
