Rocky Pond Estate Winery is the pioneering winery of the Rocky Reach AVA, founded in 2013 with tasting rooms in Chelan and Leavenworth and a private estate in Orondo. We farm 120 acres of SustainableWA and Salmon Safe certified estate vineyards across the Rocky Reach and Lake Chelan AVAs, producing acclaimed single-vineyard Bordeaux and Rhône-inspired wines that reflect the character of the land. The Tasting Room Assistant Manager will work with the DTC Sales Manager to create an exceptional customer experience in the Woodinville Tasting Room Location. The successful candidate will be a dynamic team player, proficient in wine sales, club conversion and club acquisition. This person must promote a company culture that encourages integrity, positive results, excellence, attitude of servitude and sustainability.

Essential Functions (including but not limited to):
Meet & Exceed Sales Goals:
•  Drive volume and manage costs (labor & sample costs)
•  Increase average sales per visitor
•  Upsell guests from standard tastings to elevated tasting experiences
Increase Customer Acquisition – wine club and mailing list
•  Hit monthly wine club membership acquisition goals.
•  Guest contact information capture
•  Maintain member satisfaction and retention rate
Best-In-Class Experiences
•  Execute best-in-class wine club and tasting experiences, and tasting room events
•  Customer satisfaction and loyalty
•  Elevate employee and customer knowledge of wine, winemaking and vineyard operations
Operations & Programming
•  Maintain a neat tasting room at all times
•  Conduct monthly inventory for case goods and tasting room supplies. Proactively coordinate and transport inventory transfers from Tiger Mountain Wine Services and re-order supplies as needed. A company vehicle will be provided for wine transportation
•  Work with DTC Sales Manager and Wine Club Manager to schedule Tasting Room programming including live music and club events
•  Create monthly staff schedule
•  Update tasting flight and bottle lists as needed
•  Maintain or improve flight and glass pour margins by minimizing sample waste
Leadership
•  Inspire and train staff to perform at their personal best, mediate issues as they arise and use conflict resolution techniques
•  Motivate staff to achieve goals
Be an advocate for Rocky Pond within the community
•  Increase visitorship to the Tasting Room
•  Proactively seek out local partnerships to increase brand awareness and business development. Work with local organizations to promote events.

Qualifications
•  Must be 21 years of age
•  High School Diploma or Equivalent required - College degree in retail / business management or hospitality, or equivalent experience preferred
•  5+ years of prior relevant experience; tasting room retail, direct to consumer sales, high-end restaurant or hotel experience preferred
•  Must hold valid driver’s license
•  Must be available to work weekends, special events and holidays
•  Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
•  Superior customer service skills and service driven
•  Friendly, positive and professional disposition when dealing with guests, vendors and team members
•  Demonstrated ability to multi-task, follow-up and work in a fast-paced environment
•  Proactive and thorough in completing tasks and pursuing new assignments
•  Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
•  Demonstrated reliability, punctuality and adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures
•  Maintain a professional appearance at all times
•  Enthusiasm for wine and interest in expanding expertise
