Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing comprehensive, evidence-based critical nursing care to patients within the scope of practice of the California Nursing Practice Act, regulatory requirements, standards of care, and hospital policies. The ICU RN will assess patients, develop and implement individualized care plans, collaborate with the healthcare team, and educate patients and families to promote optimal health outcomes. This position requires a commitment to professional development and maintaining licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and current knowledge of critical care practices.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours shift time, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (CA-RN) license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, no minimum years of experience required, located within the state, ability to communicate effectively in English
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an Intensive Care Unit setting, strong critical thinking skills, ability to handle high-pressure situations, excellent communication skills
• Additional Information: The ICU RN will create a healing environment by providing emotional support, managing patient discomfort, and guiding patients and families through recovery or end-of-life processes. The role involves rapid assessment, implementing and evaluating medical interventions, patient education, and safety monitoring. The RN will also contribute to team and unit activities, participate in ongoing education, and promote continuous quality improvement in patient care.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must have an active California RN license and current BLS certification.
