Chief Anesthesiologist

North American Partners in Anesthesia is looking for a Chief Anesthesiologist to join UPMC Hanover! UPMC Hanover is accredited by The Joint Commission, including being a Certified Primary Stroke Center. In addition, UPMC Hanover has achieved the status of Blue Distinction Center for Maternity Care, and Get With the Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus.

Case Assignments: Diverse case mix including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, endoscopy, ENT and ophthalmology. No cardiac or neuro cases. Limited pediatric cases.

Shifts: Team Leadership Charles Rizzuto, MD

Responsibilities: Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. Pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, performance of clinical intervention as needed.

Requirements: M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMG and FLEX Completion, completion of approved residency in anesthesia, currently licensed as a physician.
