Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 2+ years of specialty experience for a 13-week day shift assignment specializing in orthopedics and geriatrics.

Details

• Outpatient PT setting
• Average daily census of roughly 25 patients split among 2.5 therapists
• 8-12 patient visits per day
• Specializes in orthopedic and geriatric patient populations
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No call-in requirements
• Orientation held 5 days a week

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required (no new graduates)
• BLS certification required
• LA state license or compact license required
• License required if applicable
• Must apply for Allied Health licensure within 72 hours of signing if booked with a pending license

Additional Information

• Open to first-time travelers
• Candidates may be assigned to an Emergency Team during declared emergency events, which may require remaining onsite or serving on a relief team
• RTO must be discussed during the interview process
• Does not accept local candidates; must live 65+ miles from the facility
• Previous permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation from the facility before returning as a traveler
• Two Manager/Supervisor references required prior to starting the contract (Charge RNs not accepted)
