Phlebotomist IIPride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client's healthcare facility in Hickory, NC. Schedule: M-F 8-12 (20 hrs pr week) Location: Hickory, NC Job Type: Local Contract Contract Length: 19 Week/s Pay Range: 19.93/Hour - 21.36/Hour *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.Key Responsibilities:Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures.Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
