Job Summary:
The MRI Technologist position is based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The position requires the application of advanced MRI techniques, knowledge of human anatomy, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.

Job Details:

• Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina
• Schedule: Thursday 7:00 a.m. 7:30 p.m.; Friday 7:00 a.m. 7:30 p.m.; Saturday 7:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m.; Sunday 7:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m.
• Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science; must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible; for registry eligible candidates, must provide a copy of diploma from an accredited program; requires advanced certification in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) within one year of employment; successful candidates must become registered within one year and maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually; current competency in Health Care Professional (HCP) Basic Life Support (BLS).

• Additional Skills: Incident documentation; precepting; diagnostic image production; chart and report review; work environment maintenance; scanning parameter selection; troubleshooting; oral contrast administration; intravenous line establishment; IV contrast administration; contrast eligibility determination; lab value checking; PACS understanding; image transmission; QC station verification; IMPAX service tools; gateways; PACS; laser printers; protocol interpretation; order management; patient identification verification; demographic information accuracy; workflow management.
