River Market Community Co-op is hiring a Full Time Front End Shift Coordinator!Experience -based pay ranging from: $18.27 - $19.58 per hourExpected hours: 30-40 hours per week, based on candidate availability. Must have availability to work weekends. Front End Shift Coordinators cashier and oversee the smooth operations of the Front End department. As a Front End Shift Coordinator, you play a pivotal part in the customer experience - the first person customers see when they enter our store, and the last person they see when they leave. You will interact with a variety of shoppers and join a great team of experienced Cashiers and Front End Shift Coordinators. You will process transactions, address customer questions, guide cashiers to meet established objectives, and maintain a clean and organized store. Your experience is rewarded by advanced placement on our starting wage scale.Union positionReports to: Customer Service ManagerProvide prompt, friendly, and courteous customer serviceLead smooth operation of store during shift according to Customer Service Manager's directionSupervise staff in managers' absence, notify manager of policy violations or performance concernsPerform cashieringEnsure customer purchases are bagged and, as needed, carry out service is providedLead in register errors including POS freeze-ups, scale issues, network issues or card reader problemsLead in complex or difficult customer interactionsPerform drawer counting and cash-up procedures in accordance with established proceduresAssist manager in resolving discrepancies with drawers or ringing errorsMaintain responsibility for completion of established opening and closing proceduresMaintain sanitation of Front End department and entryways.
