Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, travel assignment in Zanesville, OH. Start date 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,833 to $1,914. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour blocks (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.). Setting: Clinic-type environment with the primary assignment on the Respiratory unit (COVID-admissions) and occasional float to multiple Med-Surg units as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical patients, with emphasis on telemetry and respiratory care.
- Interpret telemetry strips and monitor patient status; respond to changes per protocol; document findings in the EHR.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed; monitor for adverse effects and escalate as needed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and patient/family education.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Epic EMR; demonstrate proficiency with the system; day-one competency testing will assess Telemetry reading skills.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and performance standards; participate in unit float coverage when required.
- Meet the schedule requirements, including nights and every-other-weekend coverage; no on-call obligation.

Requirements
- Active Ohio RN license
- BLS certification
- Epic EMR proficiency (refresher or one-on-one support not provided)
- Minimum 3 years of current Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience; ability to read Telemetry required; competency tested on day one
- Ability to work night shifts and meet guaranteed hours (36 per week)
- Start date eligibility: Sept 21, 2026 or Oct 19, 2026 unless traveler is a returning Genesis traveler within the last 9 months
- Willingness to float to other Med-Surg units as needed
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
