Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED: Valid California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Education, Teaching, or related fields (Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling). 3–5 years of experience in special education or an educational leadership/case management role. PREFERRED: Valid California Administrative Services Credential. Master's Degree or higher in Special Education, Education, or Educational Leadership. Prior experience working with foster, homeless, or at-risk youth populations. KTEA Assessment Training and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: REQUIRED: TB Clearance or Risk Assessment (Ed.Code 49406) Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Backgrounds Clearance(Ed. Code 44237). Valid CA Driver's License (This position requires travel to/between BPEA sites; Required to have access to a vehicle and the physical ability to drive)
