Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Performance AnalysisTrend operational data and losses across multiple IT systems to identify areas of inefficiency and develop problem statements.Analyze packaging line performance and support root cause identification for operational losses.Monitor key manufacturing metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.Continuous Improvement & Project SupportDevelop and execute improvement plans focused on increasing efficiency and reducing operational costs during the co-op term.Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.Contribute to the development of near-term and long-term improvement plans for packaging lines.Capital Planning & Business AnalysisBuild business cases for future small-purchase capital projects.Evaluate potential projects by analyzing operational impact, costs, and expected savings.Assist with project documentation, presentations, and implementation planning.Required QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.Must continue to be enrolled in classes upon the completion of the co-op. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.Strong organizational and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Interest in manufacturing operations, process improvement, and engineering.Preferred QualificationsPrevious co-op or internship experience in a manufacturing environment.Prior mechanical, industrial, or hands-on technical experience.Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis.Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.What You'll GainExposure to Autonomous Maintenance principles, including Steps 1, 2, and 3, and their role in improving equipment performance.Hands-on experience identifying operational losses and developing solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency.An understanding of how engineering improvements translate into measurable financial savings and business impact.Experience developing business cases and supporting capital project planning.Opportunities to collaborate with both hourly and salaried coworkers across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Leadership teams.Practical experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and supporting real-world operational challenges.Development of data analysis, project management, communication, and continuous improvement skills applicable to future engineering careers.
