Job Title: Specialist I, Clinical Applications Category: Customer Care / Field Support Position Type: Regular Full-Time (Exempt) Travel Required: Extensive (75%+ short-notice travel) Position Summary Join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team acting as the primary technical laboratory consultant for customers during instrument and middleware integration. The Clinical Applications Specialist (CAS) guides customer sites through the entire go-live process—from pre-sale demonstrations and validation support to post-sale workflow parameterization, rules testing, and onsite clinical training. This role plays a vital part in field technical support, troubleshooting, customer retention, and driving analytical efficiency in clinical laboratory environments. Key Responsibilities Implementation & Go-Live: Manage customer lab integration projects. Plan implementations, assist labs with validation and regulatory compliance, and configure rules and middleware workflows. Training & Enablement: Deliver technical presentations, onsite instrument training, and advanced workshops to ensure customer self-sufficiency. Troubleshooting & Support: Investigate and resolve complex performance issues across instruments, reagents, and IT/middleware systems. Sales & Account Support: Support pre- and post-sale goals by conducting live instrument demos, working trade shows, and managing territory accounts effectively. Product Advocacy: Gather field data to communicate product feedback, complaints, and process improvement recommendations to internal product and technical teams. Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience, OR an Associate’s degree / Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician with 10+ years of clinical laboratory experience (Armed Forces equivalent accepted). Certification: Active ASCP or CLS certification is required. Technical Focus: Strong background in Hematology and familiarity with clinical laboratory operations required. Working knowledge of CLIA/COLA standards required. IT Capabilities: Preferred experience with LIS, HIS, or middleware management systems. Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills with a strong customer-first urgency. Supervisory experience is highly desirable. Requirements: Ability to meet standard hospital/healthcare facility credentialing requirements (including current immunization records). #J-18808-Ljbffr Medix™
