Job Title: Surgical Services / CVOR CST (Certified Surgical Technologist)

Location: Bloomington, IN
Duration: 13 Weeks

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience to support a high-volume surgical services department. The ideal candidate will have strong scrub experience, a thorough understanding of surgical procedures, and the ability to assist with cardiovascular and general surgical cases while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and sterile technique.

• Prepare operating rooms for cardiovascular and surgical procedures.
• Scrub and assist during CVOR procedures while anticipating the needs of surgeons and the surgical team.
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection control standards.
• Prepare, organize, and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Perform instrument counts and assist with specimen handling according to facility policies.
• Assist with room turnover and preparation between procedures.
• Support patient safety initiatives and perioperative quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other surgical personnel.
• Float to other operating room specialties as needed within competency.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience required.
• CVOR experience required.
• Strong scrub experience required.
• First-time travelers accepted.

• BLS Certification required.
• NBSTSA Certification required.

• Expertise in sterile technique and surgical asepsis.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and procedures.
• Ability to adapt to multiple surgical specialties.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced operating room environment.
