Physical Therapy Assistant

Under supervision of a physical therapist, provides physical therapy treatments to all ages to maximize patient function within their physical limitations/disabilities through various physical therapy treatment interventions. PRN position but looking for fairly regular coverage 1 full day per week or 2 partial days pending availability in outpatient ortho setting. Additional hours available if willing to train for occasional inpatient assist.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Professional Technical Skills: Good communication skills, ability to apply the theory of physical therapy, competency in performing physical therapy treatments and operating equipment, basic computer skills.
• Education: Minimum of an associates degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
• License(s) or Certification(s): Valid physical therapist assistant license in the state of Indiana.
• Other Skills or Requirements: CPR certification Skilled to Care for Certain Age-Related Patient Groups (incumbents will be skilled in the care of the following patient groups):
• Infants (0-1 year)
• Pediatric/Early Childhood (1-12 years)
• Geriatric (65+ years)
• Adult (18-64 years)
