Shipping and Receiving Worker

A local manufacturer in Indianapolis is searching for a Shipping and Receiving Worker to join their team on the 1st shift.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments.
• Build pallets for shipment.
• Store received materials in proper locations.
• Accurately and efficiently kit (pick and pack) orders for use in other departments, primarily in the weld/fab department.
• Prepare and stage products for shipment.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile variances.
• Ensure the cleanliness of inventory and dock areas.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, and others.
• Utilize tablets and scanners for inventory management.
• Handle material, load/unload trucks, operate forklifts, conduct cycle counts, and manage warehouse inventory.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in computer skills for inventory management.
• Experience with operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Ability to perform cycle counts and reconcile inventory variances.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in material handling and staging.
• Knowledge of RF scanners, BOM, kitting, and shipping and receiving processes.

This role is based in a small, clean job shop located in Indianapolis. The recent acquisition by Alliance Machine Systems has initiated significant growth, promising new opportunities for career advancement.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
