Job Title: OR Circulator RN Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 4 x 8's Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification required Must-Have: Must be able to scrub orthopedics Description: Department features 2 OR suites and 1 procedure room. Average number of cases per day is 5. Required certifications include BLS and ACLS. Common cases include total knee and hip replacements, minor general surgeries (such as hernia and gall bladder), EGDs, and colonoscopies. Experience in scrubbing orthopedic cases is required. While scrubbing other cases is not mandatory, it is considered a bonus. No Charge Nurse or House Supervisor is present; the RN will report to the Surgical Services Director. OR techs are available to assist. Charting is done using CPSI. Floating to the Surgery Clinic area is rare. Scrubs are provided for staff use. Unit-specific orientation lasts for 1 week. Cancellation policy is not listed. Trauma level is categorized as CAH. The care setting is acute. Nursing division applies. Shifts are scheduled Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. No weekend or call shifts are required. The facility cannot commit to the same day off each week.
