Sign on Bonus Up to $10,000 SOB based on eligibility. Job Summary Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well‑coordinated patient care. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Assessment: An RN uses a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze data about a patient, the first step in delivering nursing care. Assessment includes not only physiological data, but also psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors as well. Initial assessment Re‑assessment Focused assessment based on patient condition, setting, and population Problem Identification: Clinical judgment about the patient’s response to actual or potential health conditions or needs. Planning and Outcomes: Based on the assessment and problem identification, set measurable and achievable short‑ and long‑range goals in collaboration with the patient and family. Write assessment data, problem identification, and goals in the patient’s care plan so all health professionals have access. Establish daily goals with patient and family Formulate plan of care Transition or discharge planning Implementation: Nursing care is implemented according to the care plan, ensuring continuity of care for the patient during hospitalization and in preparation for discharge. Document care in the patient’s record. Ensure patient safety Medication administration Provide ordered treatments Patient/family education Documentation in healthcare record Evaluation: Continuously evaluate the patient’s status and effectiveness of nursing care, modify the care plan as needed. Care Coordination: Actions initiated by nurses with patients, families, and/or members of their healthcare team to manage and correct sequence, timing, and effectiveness of patient care from admission to discharge. Delegation Supervision Prioritization Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Continuing education requirements as defined within the CARE program. Experience: One (1) year as an RN. Licensure/Certifications: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days. Basic Life Support (BLS). American Heart Association and others as required by individual department as noted in Attachment A. Preferred Requirements: Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Licensure/Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). American Heart Association. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or others as required by individual department.
