About the Position

Job Title: Microbiology Tech Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Microbiology Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years relevant experience License: Licensed as a Medical Technologist in the state Certifications: Current National Registry as a Medical Technologist through ASCP Must-Have: 100 miles from facility Description: MLT or MLS accepted. Microbiology Tech position available. At least 2 years relevant experience is required. Current National Registry as a Medical Technologist through ASCP is necessary. Candidates must be licensed as a Medical Technologist in the state. The shift is negotiable, with a preference for nights. Experience with accessioning and specimen receipt is required. Familiarity with aerobic culture, anaerobic culture, and gram stain is essential. Experience with hospital clinical laboratory procedures is needed. Skills in PCR testing and various rapid test kits are expected. Candidates must meet all requirements before submission. Submission of multiple job IDs is not permitted. RTO submitted after an offer is made will not be honored. Must be willing to work holiday shifts if applicable. All previous employment and travel experience will be verified. Candidates who have a prior permanent position must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning. Floating is required between like units as necessary. Minimum of 2 years recent experience is required. Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment. An active license in the state is required. Documentation of certifications and vaccination status may be needed.
