As a Counselor at Recovery Works Cambridge City, you will provide direct clinical counseling services and support continuity of care from admission through discharge and follow-up. This role focuses on delivering evidence-based substance use disorder treatment through individual, group, and family counseling while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in substance use treatment, mental health counseling, or a related field
• Must meet Indiana Department of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA) credentialing requirements as one of the following:
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC)
• Psychologist
• Physician
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Certified Nurse Specialist (APRN/CNS)
• Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC)
• Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Consultant II–V (CADAC II–V)
• Addiction Professional in Training (APIT)
• Certified Addiction Counselor Level I or II (ICACI / ICACII)
• National Certified Addiction Counselor Level I or II (NCAC I / NCAC II)
• Master Addiction Counselor (MAC)
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW)

Responsibilities

• Conduct substance use assessments using DSM criteria and ASAM guidelines
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual counseling, group therapy, and family therapy services
• Reassess patients and revise treatment plans as clinically indicated
• Develop discharge and continuum-of-care plans to support appropriate transitions
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure comprehensive care
• Document all counseling services, assessments, referrals, reassessments, and follow-ups in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Maintain assigned caseload, including treatment planning and clinical documentation
• Coordinate with referral sources and community providers as needed
• Facilitate crisis intervention using a collaborative, team-based approach
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards
• Attend clinical meetings and complete required training in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education

Bachelors or better in Human Services or related field.
