Specific activities may change from time to time.Deploy and implement scanning tools to identify vulnerabilities in Container images and running containersAnalyze vulnerabilities and assist development teams to understand and address vulnerability remediationWrite scripts (Python, JavaScript, Terraform, etc.) to assist in automation of business requirementsDevelop and maintain the technical IT/cyber capabilities including all phases of the software development lifecycle and software stackParticipate in efforts related to designing, planning, enhancing, and testing all cybersecurity technologies used throughout the enterprise including base-lining current systems, trend analysis, and capacity planning as required for future systems requirements and new technologies.Participate in the analysis of information to determine, recommend, and plan the use of new technologies, or modifications to existing equipment and systems that will provide capability for proposed project or work load, efficient operation and effective use of allotted resources.Participate in the implementation of new information security technologies or integration of existing technologies including initial configuration, installation, change management, and operational handoff.Take a new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems and exercise judgment based on the analysis (e.g. modeling, testing, etc.) of multiple sources of information.Lead small cybersecurity projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; plays significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives.Required QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in security engineering or related cybersecurity roles.Advanced knowledge in cybersecurity principles, theories, and concepts.Proven experience in software development lifecycle security practices.Advanced knowledge of threat modeling, security testing, and penetration testing.Experience implementing and managing complex information security technologies.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and six years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.Banking or financial services experienceKnowledge of and experience with containerized applications and base operating systems (OS)Scripting and automation experience (i.e., Python, JavaScript, Terraform)General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of Truist Financial Corporation: All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
