Emergency Medicine Physician Coverage Opportunities in Southern Alabama. 

Western Healthcare is looking for EM Physicians interested in joining our dedicated teams at either or both of our ED practice locations in Brewton & Atmore.

We have flexible prn, consistent part-time as well as full-time positions available.  Day shifts, Night shifts or a mix of both can be accepted.

You have the option of either working on a flexible month-to-month type schedule or the stability of a longer-term, 6month, 12month or longer contracted agreement. 

D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton, Alabama:

• ED Volumes: 12,000 annual visits.
• Daily Coverage: Single Physician Coverage (12hr shifts).
• Work-Loads: Avg around 1.5 patients per hour.
• EMR: Cerner.
• 49 Bed Hospital.
• 9 Bed ED.
• Start Dates: ASAP. 
• Credentialing: Can be quick, someone with a clean file can get temps in 4 weeks.  
• We provide competitive pay rates as 1099, direct deposit, consistent or flexible scheduling options & full med-mal insurance with tail.
• Specialty Backup: Anesthesiology; Cardiology; Gastroenterology; General Surgery; Gynecology; OB/GYN; Orthopedics; Ultrasound.

Atmore Community Hospital in Atmore, Alabama:

• ED Volumes: 11,500 annual visits.
• Daily Coverage: Single Physician Coverage (12hr shifts).
• Work-Loads: Avg around 1.3-1.4 patients per hour.
• EMR: Cerner.
• 49 Bed Hospital.
• 6 Bed ED.
• Start Dates: ASAP.
• Credentialing: Can be quick, someone with a clean file can get temps in 4 weeks.  
• We provide competitive pay rates as 1099, direct deposit, consistent or flexible scheduling options & full med-mal insurance with tail.
• Specialty Backup; Anesthesiology; Cardiology; Gastroenterology; General Surgery; OB/GYN; Orthopedics.                                   
• The hospital s facilities include an intensive care unit; a 24-hour emergency room; general medical and surgical services. In addition, ACH services include Atmore Community Home Care, ACH Med Plus, ACH Family Physicians, ACH Primary Care, ACH Complete Care and ACH Therapy Services. ACH also offers programs and support to area citizens through health education.
