We're seeking talented City Managers, Event Producers, Curators, and Event Hosts in select cities across the U.S. Full-time and part-time roles, competitive pay, and hours that don't eat your life. Lectures on Tap team City Manager (Full-time) New York City | Los Angeles | Boston | Chicago We are looking for driven, entrepreneurial City Managers to lead and grow Lectures on Tap in our flagship cities. The City Manager is responsible for building the foundation for Lectures on Tap in a new market—forming venue partnerships, curating high-quality speakers, hiring and training Event Manager Hosts, and ensuring every lecture night runs smoothly. This role blends leadership, operations, and community-building into one exciting mission: to bring thought-provoking lectures to bars and venues throughout your city. Key responsibilities include: Venue Partnerships: Building and maintaining recurring relationships with bars and venues that meet Lectures on Tap standards. Speaker Curation: Interviewing and qualifying expert speakers who can inspire curiosity and conversation with the public. Team Building: Recruiting and training a team of part-time Event Manager Hosts to support the execution of lecture nights. Event Execution: Attending and overseeing lecture nights to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for attendees. Event Development: Helping build compelling event pages in Eventbrite and collaborating with our marketing team to promote each lecture. City Expansion: Scaling the number of lecture nights per month, aiming to build a thriving lecture culture in your city. Cities may have up to 16 lectures per month and this position pays $375 per lecture night.
