Nursing Assistant - Full-Time, 3x12s Day/Night Shifts

Full-Time, 3x12 hour shifts, day and/or night shifts scheduled as needed. Every other weekend and holiday work are required.

The Nursing Assistant performs vital patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary to address the personal needs and comfort of patients in an environment that promotes dignity and healing. Responsibilities include supporting patient activities of daily living (ADLs), documentation of care, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Perform vital signs and assist with activities of daily living as outlined in the plan of care.
• Meet nutrition needs of patients including meal delivery, assistance with feeding, and documenting care rendered.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort by responding to call lights, turning and positioning patients, and providing skin care.
• Assist with rehabilitation needs including ROM, ambulation, and transfers, while documenting activities per guidelines.
• Report changes in patient physical and emotional status to nursing staff promptly.
• Participate in effective communication during shift changes to ensure continuity of care.
• Demonstrate professional behaviors and communication consistent with the Healing Environment principles.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• High school graduate or equivalent education.
• Post-secondary education in Health or Human Services is preferred.
• 1-2 years of customer service or health-related experience is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (through AHA or RQI only).
