Job Title: HR Benefits Specialist (Contract) Location: Tacoma, WA Duration: 3-Month Contract Pay Range: $28.00 - $32.00/hour (depending on experience) We are seeking an experienced HR Benefits Specialist for a 3-month contract opportunity in Tacoma, WA. This role will support day-to-day benefits administration, assist with employee inquiries, and ensure accurate processing of benefit-related transactions. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced HR environment and enjoys providing high-quality employee support. Key Responsibilities:

• Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and leave programs
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and issue resolution
• Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS systems
• Support open enrollment activities and communications
• Collaborate with payroll and HR teams to ensure accurate deductions and reporting
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company policies (e.g., ACA, COBRA, FMLA)
• Work closely with vendors and carriers to resolve discrepancies and manage escalations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of HR or benefits administration experience
• Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and applicable regulations
• Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG, or similar)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferred
