This benefits the local economy, creates a stronger workforce, and builds brighter economic futures for both parents and children.About the Role The Development Coordinator provides essential operational and administrative support to CLC's development team. The Coordinator is responsible for processing gifts and ensuring donors receive timely acknowledgment, supports the planning and execution of fundraising events, and helps keep the team's day-to-day work organized and on track. Gift processing and donor acknowledgments are the primary focus of the role. The Coordinator reports to the Chief Development Officer and receives day-to-day guidance on gift operations from the Manager, Institutional Giving and Development Operations. The Coordinator also works closely with the Director of Donor Engagement and the Marketing and Communications Manager. This role is well suited to someone who is highly organized, takes pride in accurate work, and is energized by being part of a mission-driven team.Core responsibilities include:Gift Processing and Database SupportAccurately process donations and prepare timely tax receipts and acknowledgment letters, consistent with established proceduresUpdate donor records as needed to maintain contacts and accountsRun existing lists and reports to support appeals, stewardship, and eventsEvents and VolunteersProvide logistical support for fundraising and donor events, in partnership with the development team and event consultantsCoordinate corporate and community volunteer opportunitiesAttend and support events; some evenings and weekends may be requiredAdministrative SupportProcess expenses and payments for the development teamSupport team meetings and project trackingProvide development-related administrative support to the CEO as neededQualificationsThe ideal candidate will be: detail-oriented, with a commitment to accurate and thorough work; highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities; a reliable, positive, and collaborative team member; respectful, friendly, and responsive in communication with donors, volunteers, and colleagues; discreet in handling donor and financial information; committed to the belief that early childhood education is a foundation for lifelong learning, equity, and opportunityRequired experience includes: 2–3 years of administrative or operations experience, ideally in a nonprofit, education, or mission-driven setting; working knowledge of a CRM or donor database; Salesforce experience preferred; some experience with event planning or logistics coordination; proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google WorkspaceBenefits:Generous Time Off: up to 15 vacation and 12 sick days earned per year, 3 personal daysFederal HolidaysWeek between Christmas and New Year's DayWeather related closingsMedical/Dental/Life Insurance401k with Employer MatchOSHA and Mandated Reporter TrainingEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)
